he did wat is basically common sense to lose weight. ate a balanced diet and exercised.

Bubba, you must be American, a (not-so) funny guy or a complete idiot.
“The kilogram or kilogramme (symbol: kg) is the SI base unit of mass. It is defined as the mass of the international prototype kilogram. One kilogram is almost exactly the mass of one litre of water. When the context is clear, it is often referred to in short form as a kilo.
The kilogram is the only SI base unit that employs a prefix,[1] and the only SI unit that is still defined in relation to an artifact rather than to a fundamental physical property.
The pound, being defined as exactly 453.59237 grams, results in the kilogram being approximately equivalent to 2.205 avoirdupois pounds[2] in the Imperial system and the customary system of weights and measures used in the United States.”

I’ve gotta laugh at the typical responses that you always see on the internet from little sheltered douches that think they know what America is like, but are really just spouting off whatever BS they see in the tabloids or on their favorite website or whatever.
IE:
How some retards in here seriously think that American healthcare is a joke, when they obviously are completely misinterpreting a single headline that they may have heard once or twice, which speaks more to the situation with our country of over 300 million people(not 33 million in Canada, or 65 million in England, or 20 million in Australia; yes, over 300 million) not having complete coverage for the entire population.
In actuality, the actual level of our healthcare system- doctors, meds, facilities, kills most other systems, but yeah, 15% or whatever it is do not have healthcare because it’s hard to have universal healthcare for 300 million fucking people you dumb shits. If any of those other countries took on even 20-30 million more people, it also wouldn’t be financially feasible to give top tier healthcare for every person, dumb shits.
The point is that the 85%+ of people in this country that do have healthcare are getting far better and quicker treatment than some asshole in Montreal that has to wait 10 hours in a hospital to see a doctor that isn’t as educated as the typical American doctor, and has access to equipment and meds that aren’t as high quality. Oh, and stupid fucks, you do know that your dumbasses ARE paying for this shit. You pay by being raped in taxes, assholes.
But hey, like it’s not obvious that there’s a lot of little shitbags from these countries on the internet that are from some hokey little sheltered town, that are jealous because we dominate the planet militarily, politically, technologically, economically..the best infrastructure, highest level of education(not for the 12 million mexicans or ghetto bastards that bring statistics down, but for the 240 million that are living high on the hog), and there little country is a pawn of ours. Nothing more.
A little side story that I want to add comes from an uncle of mine who just visited Spain for 3 weeks on vacation. Before he left, he banged up his arm while installing a brick retainer wall in his front yard. He didn’t think it was that big of a deal at the time, so he left it alone. So they go to Spain, and about 4 days in he wakes up to find his arm swelled up to about twice its normal size. He said they went to a local hospital that seemed like it was something from the third world. He said that sait in the waiting room for 7 fucking hours while nurses and doctors and scumbags ran around this place like it was a fucking zoo. Finally, after all of that, they bring out a nurse to talk to him. He starts to explain what is going on, and halfway through his first sentence she stops him, and immediately brings him back to another room, and within 3 minutes two doctors came in to see him. He said they weren’t really sure what to do, and said something about how they could cut it open and let some of the infection out, or he could use an inflammatory for a few days that they flat out said wouldn’t be as strong as some of the antibiotics they could find in America. He ended up taking the meds for about a whole week until it finally started to settle down. But they were on stand by the week, ready to hop a flight to NYC if they had to, simply because the healthcare that they had access to was so shoddy.
The funniest part of the story is why the nurse quickly grabbed them and took them back to see two doctors at once, after he had barely said a few words. As soon as she heard them speak, and knew they were Americans, she was all over it like flies on shit. They made it an instant priority to get him treatment, and they even told them when they check out that if they had to come back, let someone know right away that they were Americans, and she would have someone see them right away. Nice healthcare system, Spain.
True story.

All gastric by-pass does is reduce the size of the stomache..and many people do not lose weight at all with it….it doesn’t address the psychological reasons a person gains weight…so it doesn’t matter whether he dieted with or without help…he did it…and he looks awesome!!!!
And actually weight loss like that is more than a diet…it is a whole new life style.

To the guy who said “Weight loss isn’t rocket science, it’s just eating less.” You need to get a clue, just like weight gain isn’t only over eating. weight loss isn’t about eating less it’s about eating the right things. It’s about exercising, it’s about changing your lifestyle completely, and for a lot that’s a hard thing to do. Poverty causes obesity, mental illness causes weight gain, emotional problems, trauma, hormones, illness, etc. all factors in one’s eating habits and physiology.
Yes it’s good to eat in moderation but no, it’s not just eating less.
And for people who assume that… (well, you know what they say about assuming.)
ange said,

lol, you’re a moron.
33 million people in Canada pay TAXES which are enough to cover, among other things, health care for 33 million people. 65 million people in England pay TAXES which are enough to cover, among other things, health care for 65 million people. 20 million people in Australia (actually, just so you know, its 21 million as of about a couple of weeks ago) pay TAXES which are enough to cover, among other things, health care for 21 million people. So I figure that 300 million people in the USA could probably pay enough TAXES to cover health care for 300 million people. Unless of course its an afterthought. War first, health second.
Incidentally, here in Australia, if you don’t want to wait, you can pay for private hospital insurance and not have to wait in emergency rooms. If you can afford it and you don’t pay for it, then stop your whining. What can be more important than your health?

Please get off the American-hating bandwagon.
It’s a tired international cliche and it’s not impressing anyone.
I am an American and I know for a fact that we have a lot of flaws and downfalls, but I think that not only does the international community need to take a good look at themselves and thoroughly digest their shortcomings before acting the saint, but they need to realize that if their country was thrust out into the spotlight constantly, it’s really very easy to become a critic and a loudmouth if nobody is looking directly at YOU.
This isn’t to say I agree with the other guy’s rant about America being better in every way and such (though I will agree that our healthcare is pretty decent albeit the ridiculous cost) — because a lot of what he’s spouting isn’t true at all (America being ahead technologically? Hello, have you SEEN Japan?), but before the rest of you are JUST AS BAD in your stereotypical pompous, superiority-complex international ranting and raving, realize that when you sit there and laugh in your arrogance and say, “Oh, those poor Americans, all of them are stupid hicks”, you’re no better than the image you portray US as and you need to give yourself a serious reality check because you’re not fooling anyone.
As for the weight loss (on topic, yay!), good for him.
It’s stupid that people are saying that he’s “cheating” or whatever because he might’ve gotten gastric bypass or something similar. There’s a reason those things are out there, and that’s to HELP PEOPLE LOSE WEIGHT. Working to achieve a healthier lifestyle and expanding your life by YEARS using a medically-approved practice is by no means “cheating” or anything. It’s a smart move for those who are seriously obese, and for that, this man deserves applause.

If your health care system is so great, why thousands of well cared for Americans, try to get phony ID for the health care system in Canada?
As far as not knowing what it is like the good Ol U S of A, I live on the border. I know exactly what it is like in the Untied States of Anemia. Talk about having your head up your ass. Best educated? uh huh. That’s why shows like “Are you Smarter than a 5th grader” are so popular. Most people aren’t.
Get over yourself. The USA, a great it is, is on the way down, like all the other great empires before it.
Norm said,

Every healthcare system has its crap. And, hopefully, most have something that works for its constituents.
I’m an American and I love the U.S. — but you’d have to be blind to miss the blatant disregard many Americans have in being involved in their own health and well-being. Extremely poor eating — regardless of social / financial status — enormous lack of exercise. 52 million people eating at McDonald’s daily. I mean, holy crap (literally).
You see pockets of healthy folks on the coasts and in the big cities but, in general, people are sadly lazy. I smack myself around when I see myself heading toward the lazy train.
If you want any healthcare system to work for you, you’ve got to work for yourself. Enjoy life everybody, huh?
Much peace.

Well said, Norm.
Sure, no national healthcare system is perfect, but it sure isn’t his country’s fault that he got to this point. Everyone needs to take some responsibility for their own health and if you let yourself get out of hand, better have the wherewithal to get up and do it the hard way, or have the bucks to pay someone to do it for you.
It looks like after the surgery he’s begun to work out, so he’s probably headed down the right path. Expensive lesson to learn.
Cheers.

Just hope you meant 75-80 kilos instead of pounds for 5′9/5′10. Otherwise I would call this almost anorexia!! Being obese is one thing, but being too thin could be as harmful!
Eat well, exercise and sleep enough. There are not magic tricks to become thinner, that surgery should only be the very last resort!!
As for the guy who lost all that weight, hope you will live a long, happy and healthy life from now on!!

Someone mentioned bb.com above. What is the full url or website name? I am obese (350lbs) and have changed the lifestyle, but if my body is going to need surgery like that, I don’t know if its worth it. One’s skin tends to bleed for months after that type of surgery. I wonder where this guy is now. I’d like to know how long it took him to lose that weight and what he did.

I’ve lost over 200 pounds with a gastric by-pass. Anyone who thinks it’s easy, is just fooling themselves. Yes, it was easy to lose weight the first year and a half. Then, it stalled. I had to get out and get exercising. First I ran, then I took up triathlons. It’s hard work and I’ve gained back some (I was pregnant, at the time. I’ve since taken it off).
It’s easy to dismiss a gastric by-pass as an easy way out. There is no way losing that much weight is easy. No matter how you do it.
It’s not just Americans who are getting fat, either. The diet we’re exporting is making people heavy everywhere. Americans do eat badly, but not everyone and it’s changing.

Why all the hate. It doesn’t matter how he lost the weight. He did it. Be happy for the guy.
You can’t put the blame all on him, nor can you put the blame all on his parents or all of society. Its more complicated than that. Every situation is different! Ones mentality, genes, environment….etc…could all have a serious impact on ones eating habits. as well as any medical conditions one may have.
I personally lost 40 pounds (I am Canadian, and I use pounds), in less then a month, but I had an over active thyroid. Mind you 4 yrs ago, I had an under active thyroid… So who would you be to make judgments on me…or anyone else, if you never knew the situation.
As for lol’s attack on Canadian health care…learn the facts.
Each province has different ways of paying for their health care, people Working in Quebec pay only a portion of their health care, and their employers pay the other portion which goes in a pool for Quebec folks. where as Alberta and BC. pay monthly premiums based on their residents in those province, like car insurance. and depending on if you have family members or not…you pay more or less. Some provinces, workers don’t even pay for their health care, their employers pay it for them.
As for waiting 10hrs in an ER…the people waiting that long are probably the people with less serious injuries, because ERs take people in according to seriousness of the injury. Those people waiting 10hrs at a time should be going to the walk in clinic where they would be seen in less then an hour and be out after 5 mins with the doc.
Just like anywhere in North America where we all have been spoiled. Everyone thinks they are more important and deserve more then the next guy, so they exaggerate with how they were treated, or not treated.
My qualifications-CPA meaning, I actually know what taxes are taken off our paycheck’s, and what they are for…and who it is sent off to…for each province…its complicated…and boring to get into…so I wont go into detail.
I also live on the border and I’ve dated American guys. And I am acquainted with many Americans as well as I have a lot of family in the US as well as Cnd, and all over the damn world. We are all alike. It doesn’t matter where we are. You Need Money for everything!!! Period. The more money you have…and Yes, your uncle would get care in Spain first before their own people, not because he’s an American, but Because Americans are perceived to have money. So therefore, logically, the ER in Spain would prefer to help someone with money….because they are also there for profit!!!
Just like the American guy I am dating took his kid to the ER, in the states, had to wait, for the doctors to do anything about his kid….till the insurance company said that he had paid his premiums…otherwise, he wouldn’t have gotten the same care that he did!
MONEY!!! Thats all its about! profit!!! (with private health care)
public health care, which is what Canada has, the Doctors salaries are capped. (not sure the amount or if it still is….it was a few years back that they were capped)
Everyone gets the same treatment, doesn’t matter if you have money or not….worse injuries first, and they work their way down to the least serious. (which is how it should be…Cause I sure as hell would be pissed if someone I knew had a brain injury, but the guy with money pays for the Docs attention for minor stitching)
thats all i have to say about that..
Props for buddy who lost weight…whichever way he did it. (and yes. very good looking in the last pic)

Actually he did lose em normally. The surgery was just to remove the extra skin.
I remember this chapter of extreme makeover. Some guy weighted like 200 something kilograms, and thanks to EXCERCISE he went down to like 85 kilos. BUT he still had all the extra skin, and they did surgery n shit on him to remove it….
What happened to this guy is 100% plausible

Hello Everyone,
My wife was finally able to kick the habit before she got pregnant with our now first born beautiful baby gilr, so I tought I’ll share the resource that she has used to help her quit the smoking habit with as many people as I can.
She was a heavy smoker for about ten years and just a couple of weeks after finding out about the program that I have researched online, she was able to quit smoking permanently and now can’t stop telling people about how she had kicked the habit for good.
Anyway if somebody want to check it out the site is; http://endthehabitnow.com

Check also this URL, it’s a picture of a world map of nations who have not yet adopted the metric system.

How come southern Canada has changed over to metric and northern Canada is still using the pound method.

Wow! That is some loss!
I’ve managed to shed off only 30kgs from last year. I used to be about 110kgs and is now 80kg.
Just slight exercise and controlled eating habits. Used to binge too much and have like 5 full meals a day.
